You might be thinking “Meditation doesn’t work for me” and trust me, I can relate!

Meditation doesn’t work for me either…

About 2 years ago,  I felt like I was going to break. On the outside, it looked like I had it all put together. On the inside I was a ball anxiety, terrified of slowing down for fear of everything falling apart. I now know this is called high functioning anxiety (and educating others on this has become my jam). 

Each morning for about a month, I put “meditate” on my morning to do list. I would set a timer for 10 minutes and try to quiet my mind. About 30 seconds in, my thoughts would start to wander and my mental to do list would start growing. I’d catch myself and bring my attention back to my breath, only to fail again at quieting my mind for even a minute. 

I’d go down a rabbit hole of overthinking until my alarm would go off and I would end up feeling that I had wasted 10 minutes trying to mediate and relax, only to end up feeling more stressed out. 

I thought “meditation just doesn’t work for me. I am just a high stress person”.

When I found breathwork… everything changed. 

For the first time in my life, I finally experienced what it must feel like to meditate. Quiet my mind. Be in my body. It was a feeling so incredible, but so foreign to me. So I went on a mission to learn more about it, deepen my own practice and eventually become certified in the most powerful breathwork program created, so that I could share this life-changing modality with others like me.
